Science Gallery London’s 'VITAL SIGNS: Another world is possible' is an interactive temporary exhibition that brings together artists, designers and researchers to explore human and non-human relationships and how the health of the natural world – from our waterways to our atmosphere and the ocean floor – is intimately connected to our own health and wellbeing.
The exhibition design and marketing identity were inspired by multiscalar planetary sensing and used thermal imaging as a unifying language to explore different scales from the microscopic to the planetary.
The exhibition design included a range of body responsive thermochromic soft and accessible furniture, playing with the idea of intentional and accidental impact on our surroundings.
Revealing unique perspectives on our environments through creative, sensory works and multiple voices, the exhibition reinforces the fact that humans are fundamentally a part of nature rather than apart from it.
“Places our own actions as both problem and the solution, and encourages us to think of our impact on the world”
