Issa Rae's team came to us looking to create a brand for Viarae and bring a new voice to the world of Prosecco. The brand is a story that bridges two cultures: an equal celebration of “La Dolce Vita” and “Black Joy.”
The wordmark we created is bold, confident, and makes a statement. It was crafted to communicate a celebratory feeling, that is energetic and soulful. It embodies many of the characteristics of the Viarae brand: reflecting the rich and beautiful world of the black community. Our V shorthand symbol exudes a sense of celebration, while also acting as a visual representation of the Prosecco itself popping out of the bottle—a truly special connection to the product. We worked with the Viarae team through strategy, visual identity creation, brand system development, packaging design, art direction for photography and promotional materials.
