Tom Benson: In Black & White (2010)

Published after the occasion of 'Tom Benson, Registers and Greyscales' at Stiftung für konkrete Kunst, Reutlingen, 2006, In Black & White (Bedford Press & Offset Editions, 2010) is the fourth in a series of publications by the artist which considers the separation of exhibition and book, employing the publication as a site for reinterpretation rather than replication.

Printed in black ink on a duplicator press, the book includes installation views of the Reutlingen exhibition, as well as black and white representations of colour artworks. The relatively low screen ruling of the press results in a coarse halftone, reciprocating the series of greyscale works from the exhibition. The book is available in two cover variants.
