The Lightbox
Complicated subjects require careful illumination. The Lightbox was conceived as a way of going beyond conventional methods of presenting often complex and unfamiliar subjects to create intimate, memorable and meaningful experiences that allow leaders to see things from new perspectives.
Designed by our human sciences research team in collaboration with Barcelona based company Digital Data Streamers, The Lightbox integrates advanced technology with artistic elements to not only convey information but also evoke emotions and provoke thought.
Its large frame utilizes a novel system of mechanical actuators hidden behind a malleable canvas screen. Move in tandem with bespoke projections of imagery and text, they create a three-dimensional surface that brings research stories to life within an enclosed and focused environment.
The technology-driven design of The Lightbox includes projection, motion graphics, and an innovative system for the projection and depression of seven actuators. These elements work in concert with a series of ambient drones, tailored to enhance the desired moods through sound, light, and motion. This integration creates a seamless whole, ensuring that the technology enhances rather than overshadows the human element of the presentation.
Putting the control of each animated sequence firmly in the hands of the presenter, it allows them the flexibility to improvise and manoeuver according to the moment serving to highlight the presenter's insights and interpretations.
The Lightbox was aptly named to embody the concept of illumination—letting people see new ideas more clearly or familiar phenomena from riveting new angles, while always ensuring that our people can shine.
