The Cosmic Zoo

Inspired by Chimponauts & Astrocats, a zine by artist Eva Rust featured in the Life at the Edges exhibition in Science Gallery Dublin, we were invited to host a week-long series of Risograph workshops in the gallery.

We were tasked with naming the event, designing promotional material and curating the space. Using a mixture of illustration, type, and image manipulation, participants created their own unique zines telling the stories of interstellar animals and their preparations before travelling to space. The Cosmic Zoo—a tactile and responsive space—transformed throughout the week as work produced was continuously displayed on rotation, co-creating an evolving exhibition with members of the public.
