Since 1962, the Arts Council of Ireland has been buying art from working artists. The Collection that evolved tells the story of modern and contemporary Irish visual art in a unique and fascinating way. Today The Collection continues to grow and more than 1,100 paintings, sculptures and other works are on display in public spaces all over Ireland for people to experience and enjoy first hand.
The identity design is a simple typographic solution with the subtle suggestion of displayed art in its logotype. This visual framework allows for The Collection to be displayed and enjoyed in a visually consistent and cohesive manner.
Works included the design of Into The West, an exhibition showcasing a collection of works from various West of Ireland artists on display at Knock Airport, a gift card presentation piece along with other ephemera to further promote The Collection.
