The Cheeky Pup

The Loyola Group own and operate a number of great bars in Dublin. With a new venue in Quinta Do Lago, Portugal, soon to open they contacted us and asked us to help them with a brand and identity for their new Irish gastropub situated in this popular tourist spot on the Algarve.

They already knew they wanted to call the new venue ‘The Cheeky Pup’ and this allowed us to have some fun with both the visual style and tone of voice. We commissioned the illustrator Bob Venables to create two bespoke illustrations which would become the heart of the new brand.

We paired these illustrations with a quirky typestyle and applied the designs to beer mats and beautifully produced menu holders. We also rolled the new identity out to signage across the venue.
