When the guys at Bodytonic decided to open a sports bar in Dublin they got in touch. Our design for the project aimed to make explicit the bar's sport focus whilst maintaining Bodytonic's contemporary design pedigree. For the logo we used a shield to represent the idea of a team. The logo itself contains the four essential parts to the pub; good craft beers, football on TV, great pizza and Ping-Pong tables. We are huge football fans here at Revert and always loved the design of football kits of the 80's and 90's, especially the 1988 Holland jersey worn by the magical Marco Van Basten and Ruud Guillet. This victorious 1988 European cup winning Dutch team formed the inspiration behind much of the design for The Back Page. The orange shirt pattern is used on the menus, posters, business cards etc. The pizza menus were inspired by the iconic Italian sports paper La Gazzetta Dello Sport whilst the pizzas are named after some of the world's finest footballers. We also created a range of beer mats that sports teasers on the back for as well as famous Irish footballers word searches.
