TAZCH

The Alliance for Zero Carbon Heating (TAZCH) was set up to transform Ireland’s home heating sector while continuing to meet the needs of the 37% of Irish households who depend on liquid fuels. The alliance have pledged to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the home heating products supplied by 50% by 2035 and to do everything they can to achieve zero carbon heating as soon as possible.

We were asked to come up with a new brand identity that would help to communicate the alliance’s mission. The group had recently finalised a report that would be delivered into the hands of government and policymakers and they needed a robust entity to lend to the report and its contents. Underpinning the alliance's mission is a recognition of the current narrative around fuels, but also an understanding that there is still a significant reliance that cannot be ignored or moved away from just yet. At a basic level, the subject is home heating and so the logo uses an abstract form that represents heat. Integrating a simple brand pattern based on the notion of heat allowed for a clean visual language that could be easily utilised across all brand collateral.
