The Tannery is one of Ireland’s longest established, independently owned restaurants and a beacon of hospitality since opening in 1997.
The starting point for the new identity and website was understanding the personality of the business and the experience customers get dining or staying there.
Firstly, TOTEM created a classic but contemporary word mark that is elegant, refined, confident and is reflective of the stylish experience the Tannery offers. With the addition of a simple descriptor it works across their three business pillars – exceptional dining, chic accommodation and an event venue.
Secondly, our goal in designing the new website was to provide a user-friendly experience. TOTEM revamped the website’s structure and made the navigation more intuitive. From browsing the menu to booking a table or room, every step of the user journey was considered and enhanced.
A rich colour palette of dark green and gold is balanced by a generous amount of white space, enhancing the confident and minimalist design. This allows the Tannery’s exquisite pictures come to the fore and tell their story, showcasing the authentic charm of this family run business.
The new identity and website combine to position the Tannery perfectly as a premium, original experience in Ireland’s hospitality sector, whilst also capturing their warm and welcoming personality.
