Stevie G, one of Ireland’s best-known DJs and community activists, came to us for the identity design of his new podcast. We were challenged with creating an identity that would engage a diverse audience and speak to the podcast’s multiple themes of music, culture and art. Also to be captured was Stevie’s own dynamic personality and his extensive background in music.

We wanted the identity to be fun and full of life to stay true to Stevie’s personality. We used attention-grabbing colours and shapes contrasted against a dark background for maximum impact. Each of the shapes represents a facet of the podcast, while the graphic arrows illustrate their connection. We consciously designed a loose, unstructured layout in order to symbolise the natural flow of conversation and how one topic leads into another. While it is wide-ranging, this is a podcast that brings people together and reminds us all of how connected we actually are.
