Label design for a special beer that was brewed to celebrate the opening of The Druthaib's Ball at the Ulster Museum, following their acquisition of the work in 2023.
The Druthaib's Ball was the 2021 Turner Prize-winning installation by the Belfast-based artists collectively known as Array Collective – the first artists from Northern Ireland to win the prestigious Turner Prize. The group of eleven artists from the north and south of Ireland, England and Italy all live and work in Belfast creating collaborative actions in response to socio-political issues affecting them and their communities.
The blueberry and blackberry 'Stormont Sour' gave a nod to the collapsed government at the time, with the label also including a bootleg of a 1970s Irish lager beer mat, along with a Sheela na gig, and other elements responding to expansive Druthaib's Ball installation.
