Sound + Vision Exhibition: Hours

To celebrate the second year of Dublin Bowie Festival, Image Now Gallery hosted Sound + Vision, a typographic poster exhibition that explored the work of David Bowie. The show featured 25 typographic posters for 25 Bowie albums. We were asked to respond to the album Hours, which was released in 1999, and featured a lenticular version of the cover. Using lyrics from the album, chosen through Bowie’s cut up technique, we referenced the lenticular artwork through the use of the experimental typeface Wind, by Hansje van Halem. The Poster can also be rotated, as a nod to the reflective nature of the album.
