Scientific Discovery

An Post in conjunction with Science Foundation Ireland commissioned us to create series of stamps highlighting the ground breaking scientific discoveries by Irish research centres. The difficulty was narrowing down the list to just four topics out of the extensive list. With four quite disparate and relatively complex research strands ww needed to find a visual shorthand that was easily understood and would work as a set. We used black and silver duotone images to bring a consistent visual tone and the use of a fluorescent orange adds a punch of colour and alongside the metallic silver felt appropriate for cutting edge research.
