Scholastic is the world’s largest educational publisher and distributor of children's books, home to favorites like Harry Potter, Clifford the Big Red Dog and Captain Underpants. Our team created signage and environmental graphics for the publisher’s corporate headquarters in New York City that reimagine the iconic characters in a series of large-scale artworks and installations. Highlights included; a halftone interpretation of The Magic School Bus translated into 3D using 10,000 wooden pegs of varying widths; A stained-glass ceiling featuring Harry Potter; A reception desk and bookshelf that displays the names of Scholastic-published authors on bespoke book jackets; Tactile fur-covered canvases featuring different illustrations of Clifford the Big Red Dog on each floor (with a matching entrance sign for 'Clifford's'—the headquarters' café).
