The aim and purpose of the new website is to present Royal Botanical Gardens Kew as a global leader in plant science, a world class visitor destination and to help unlock why plants matter to human life. Kew as an organisation is a deeply political one, and helping the internal project team to win stakeholder agreement was a key part of the project. As a scientific organisation, all decisions needed to be led by research, and so we worked closely with BDRC to carefully interrogate and verify user’s requirements.
