Estelle Birday's Ravelling is set in The Liberties, an area of Dublin once renowned for it's textile industry, now the stage for six young men as they navigate their dreams and the harsh realities of modern day Ireland.
The cover design reimagines a map of The Liberties, hand-stitched onto linen, symbolizing place, memory, and the weaving together—and unraveling—of lives. Six thread colors represent the novel’s six characters, connected by both friendship and location.
