The Irish word Meitheal traditionally describes how neighbours come together to assist in the harvest. Meitheal, an age-old Irish term, is the Irish word for a work team, gang, or party and denotes the co-operative labour system, a tradition of collaborative work or reciprocal aid. It originates from the ancient Celtic tradition of Túath, a collective endeavour to achieve a common goal, like building a house or reaping a harvest.

For the Meitheal Impact Report we brought together a community of actors, producers, players, messers, small children, big children and everyone in between to help carry the all important words that describe the value and impact of arts, culture and theatre for young people.
