Lyric Theatre Identity (2011)

Lyric Theatre, Belfast moved into a purpose-built theatre designed by O’Donnell + Tuomey Architects in May 2011.

We were commissioned to create an identity that reflects the theatre’s rich history, energy and creativity, an identity that would engage new audiences at home and abroad with a stimulating, high quality programme and complementary participatory activities.

The identity for Lyric Theatre symbolises creative collaboration. The marque embodies the concept of light and transparency. Redolent of theatre lighting/gels, it also acts in a metaphoric sense, making us think of openness and accessibility.
