Love Stamp

We were invited to design the 2016 Love & Marriage stamp for An Post. The design brief specifically requested certain design tropes associated with Love (& Marriage) — flowers, hearts, etc. We felt confident that these, at times, hackneyed visual motifs could be revitalised through unfamiliar hard graphic forms/construction and contemporary synthetic colour schemes.

The annual Love & Marriage stamp created for Valentines Day 2016 follows a simple set of parametric design principals to create a series of interlocking hearts or “a chain of love”. Unapologetically “graphic” the stamp is further distinguished by its use of metallic and fluo inks. Published in pairs and in books of ten.
