Julie Connellan

Julie Connellan is a Dublin based jewellery designer. She produces a wide range of contemporary jewellery that in its essence borders on sculpture. In 2010, Swollen designed a poster/pamphlet to help showcase her work. Julie worked with Sean and Yvette to produce a series of images to reflect the modern and dynamic nature of her work.The following piece of media produced by Swollen reflects this dynamic nature. Using a complex grid system, the piece has the ability to grow in size indefinitely. With the use of overprinting combined with a detailed technique of knocking out shapes from the front and back, the poster takes on the quality of a stained glass window.The modern approach to the typographical layout further supports Julie’s unique style and approach to creating her jewellery.
