This is an ongoing project run by the Irish Architecture Foundation to help towns and places around Ireland improve their public realm through better community engagement. The new website acts as a platform for sharing resources and toolkits, as well as listing local practitioners to help get projects off the ground. This is a central portal for placemaking that harnesses the agency of communities across Ireland to amplify their potential in a way that can transform their physical, social and psychological well-being.
The booklet and the website showcase a selection of projects from the first phase of the initiative including a new skatepark in Ballyfermot and a sculptural installation in Loughrea. The identity was informed by the existing IAF brand, using an array of arrows to infer the concept of renewal and how it can take many forms and directions. The website brings these elements to life with interactive movement to the arrows.
