With over 36 years in business, Maychem had established itself as a leading supplier of hygiene products in Ireland, with a particular focus on the ‘Early Years Services’ sector. Mark and Aimee Nolan became owners of Maychem during the tumultuous year of 2020, where they overcame supply issues, sourced new products, and guided their customers through the new Covid protocols. Having successfully steered the business through this immensely pressurised time, they were ready to look at the naming and branding of their company. Renamed Hygienix, we were tasked with developing a clear and unique direction for the brand, and creating a visual identity to modernise and refresh the business.
Hygienix is on a focused trajectory to become the leading supplier of hygiene products in the Irish education, pre-school and healthcare sectors. Taking inspiration from this journey, we utilised the shape of a triangular directional arrowhead, in both its solid and linear form, to create a custom logotype. The arrow shape was expanded and built upon to complement the identity, through a series of graphic devices that have uniformity and flexibility in equal measure. The colour palette is bright and bold, to reflect their established personal and friendly customer care, and imbue their confidence in both product and service.
