Glagow Gaels

Glasgow Gaels is one of five active GAA clubs in Scotland. They cater for mens, ladies and youth teams at both junior and senior levels. The 2020 season started enthusiastically with a recruitment drive and a trip to a European tournament but unfortunately, like everybody, our year didn’t go as planned and we only managed a few weeks of football during the late summer. Nonetheless, it was enjoyable as a player on the Ladies team to be asked to make promotional design work for the club, whether it be posters or social media announcements, and to visually communicate both the excitement of playing matches and the feeling of missing being on the pitch. The identity is simply based on the red and white Gaels kit and uses a variable font that is reminiscent of all the different players within the one club.
