Fráma

Fráma is a new cultural hub and framing studio situated in the heart of Naas. With a focus on contemporary framing and fine art printing it also aims to showcase local and international artists in its gallery.

While a large portion of the focus is on the fine art printing and custom framing side of the business, it also had to speak to artists and art buyers. For the identity, we were inspired by the form of a basic frame in relief. A simple shape that can morph, rotate and scale, used as an outline, solid or mask, it becomes a versatile device that can be dialed up or down to suit the tone depending on the situation.

The logotype features a high-contrast serif Span, with sweeping serifs and sculptural forms. Combined with the custom frame, it creates a unique mark that works as a static symbol, but comes to life in motion. To balance the formality of the serif, we introduced a playful sans New Reason. A muted colour palette allows featured artworks to remain the focus.
