Zero-G were approached by EPIC Ireland to reposition the exhibition from being a tourist only experience to being one that would be recognised as a cultural destination of national and international significance. As part of the rebrand we evolved the name to EPIC, The Irish Emigration Museum, a name that more clearly framed the role of the museum and the status it deserves. The visual identity was given a more elegant aesthetic while referencing the typography used on crates and in warehouses associated with travel in the 19th century. The core identity was supported by a range of graphic, photographic and messaging assets that were used across the environment, signage, online and in print communications. The rebrand was launched in 2017 and has contributed to an increase in visitor numbers and the repositioning of EPIC as a cultural significant destination for both domestic and international visitors.
