Cork Midsummer was going through a change in tone in 2015, they wanted to reconnect with the city and people of Cork, and announce this change in programming and attitude. We developed the simple bold statement, Hello Cork and proposed making the programme of events a newspaper format. This suited the change conceptually, feeling more accessible than many festival programmes, but also allowed for a lot of visual impact without the use of additional out door advertising which their budget wouldn’t allow.
