The owner of Butcher came to the project fully prepared and with a keen understanding of what it was to open a restaurant. Having travelled extensively to be inspired by eatery’s globally he knew exactly what his offering should be. Having raised premium cattle, hand selecting beef for top establishments in Ireland he decided it was time to create his own offering. Using his hand raised beef and local suppliers, he teamed together with a talented chef. He needed a name that would set him apart from the many other popular eateries in Kilkenny. A brand that would reflect his unique ability to hand-select the very best beef and produce available for his customers.
We created the name, the visual identity, signage and worked closely with the interior team to ensure a cohesive project across the board. Taking inspiration from the butchers knot, we created a memorable signage lit up in neon. We selected a unique colour palette that was unexpected with the intention of softening what might be expected in a steak house.
