Our long-term client, An Post, approached us to redesign their Livery Fleet 2.0, seeking a more modern and dynamic style that would be engaging for their customers.

We had an opportunity to showcase the brand in an innovative way across the full fleet. Everyday thousands of their vehicles are seen across the country nationwide delivering to homes so it was time for a refresh to something clever and engaging that makes people stop and think.

An Post aimed for a shift in how people perceived their identity and mission, aspiring to connect more individuals to join their expanding company. Beyond the public's awareness of their commitment to a zero-emission fleet, there were additional layers to their brand values that they wanted customers to understand. It was important that the creative solutions aligned with their brand purpose and values.

The mobius symbol played a crucial role in the redesign, forming the core of our vision for the van fleet. We crafted a series of interconnected designs utilising the mobius to visually represent various aspects of the brand. Bringing the mobius to life in a tangible way, we employed light, pattern, texture, and photographic shading, establishing a visually impactful connection with the modern environment, capturing attention, and resonating with viewers. Considering the coexistence of new designs with the existing fleet, harmony and cohesion were paramount.

Each design in the series featured a mobius with a texture conveying a specific message, complemented by a four-letter word supporting that message. The 'o' in each four-letter word seamlessly integrated with the mobius. When applied to the fleet of trucks, the messaging became more detailed, essentially functioning as mobile billboards narrating the An Post brand story. Words and phrases in the final suite included: Zero, signifying their commitment to 0% emissions; Love, for global outreach; Bród, proudly supporting the community; and Home, symbolising the world at your doorstep.

Maintaining a consistent livery design across the vehicle fleet was crucial for brand recognition and recall. Over time, this consistency fosters trust, loyalty, and sets An Post apart from competitors. Our approach to this design refresh was carefully crafted with these principles in mind.
