Visual identity and collateral material for Sean Lynch’s Adventure: Capital, the Irish pavilion at the 2015 Venice Biennale. Adventure: Capital brings together Greek river gods; public art at regional airports; quarries and the art of stone-carving; an abandoned sculpture in Cork; and a traffic roundabout in Wexford, on a storytelling journey that unravels notions of value and the flow of capital through an anthropological lens. The identity references letter-carving from Trajan’s Column as well as those often found on the buildings of financial institutions. Salmon-tinted newsprint, as used by the Financial Times, was sourced for the exhibition guide.
