The Act Now Collective encourages people and communities to take positive climate action. They believe that individual and collective change, however small, can make a difference. Their website is a hub of information gathered from various sources and organised into nine categories. Each one represents an essential aspect of day-to-day life and provides practical advice, expert guidance, and valuable resources on taking climate action.
The climate action space is dominated by green and blue and uses a photographic style primarily. Our approach was to create an identity that was a little different—using illustration to convey the idea of connecting with nature and the community.
We asked Irish illustrator Chris Haughton to create illustrations for the website and each of the nine categories. His work captures a playful sense of the world and adds the feeling of connectedness we sought. We combined Chris’ illustrations with bold typography and a bright colour palette to create a joyous visual identity that offers a sense of hope and inspiration.
