We were commissioned by An Post to design two stamps commemorating the centenary of the first public meeting of Dáil Éireann, held on January 21, 1919.
The first stamp features a painting by Tom Ryan depicting the members of that first Dáil, while the second stamp is a graphical representation of those that were either present or absent on that historic day. The stamps were issued along with a first day cover, illustrated with a ticket to the famous event.
